With grateful thanks to the office of Supervisor Solis and the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, this past Friday we began registering PUP neighbors to vote reaching mostly woman and people of color. It was not lost on me that voting – a central freedom of American life – had been denied to these groups as recently as 1965.
With ballot issues addressing matters of health, housing, civil rights and education, this election impacts the PUP at-risk community more than most other demographics.
See our “What’s the Issue” broadcast for in-depth reviews of the Propositions.
No matter who you support or what you believe, there is no better way to repair our country than exercising your right to vote. If you are able to assist with voter registration on Tuesday and Friday mornings, please notify us at info@picounionproject.org.
