When Steven asked what the High Holy Days were like at the Pico Union Project, Yechiel responded: “It’s sort of like the place you’d go if you really didn’t want to go to services.”
While humorous, there is also a certain accuracy. For many people, the Holy Days have become a burden instead of a celebration.
