Since our founding in 2013 the Pico Union Project has been committed to “loving our neighbors as we wish to be loved”. We honored this sacred Jewish principle through our Vida Sana Program – distributing healthy produce, friendship and items for our at risk neighbors.
We feel that now is the time to evolve our programming from one that “gives people fish” and focus on providing opportunities to help our community “learn how to fish.
Pico Union Partners will provide up to 20 at-risk youth in our neighborhood with 4 hours of monthly on-line mentorship to gain knowledge, access, and encouragement.
We believe the future depends on giving our youth opportunities to become thriving, self-sufficient leaders within the community. Partnering with at-risk youth, we will provide mentorship, knowledge, access, and encouragement to grow the next generation of young leaders.
